Today (October 2nd, 2016) I am married two months to the most amazing men I ever met. Since I was a little girl I dreamed about my wedding. I think almost every girl does that. I knew what kind of dress I wanted, where I wanted to get married and what kind of husband. Well, the husband is like I always wanted. But the dress was a bit different, because of my pregnancy and I never thought I would marry in one of the oldest churches in our area. But you know what? It doesn't matter. Our day was perfect!

The last two months I learned some things about being married:

  • It takes time to get used to call Erik my husband and not anymore my boyfriend.
  • Carrying his last name is great, but you have to change it every where.
  • And there are still companies that prefer to use your birthname.... :(
  • The way how you feel doesn't change. You still feel the same. I'm still Cherish and I still love Erik as much as before the wedding. No magical feeling. But don't get me wrong. It feels good and great to be married.
  • And every one is waiting for the wedding photos, especially the parents.

What Two Months Of Marriage Told Me

Since I got pregnant, my blog was one of the last things that I thought about. Feeling sick in the beginning of my pregnancy and when I felt better, it's was time to plan my wedding. Planning a wedding takes a lot of time and a lot of work. And I still had to make decisions for school. I'm a psychology student and I needed to figure out what to do now that I was pregnant.

I took the summer off, to think about how to go further with school and to plan my wedding.

I made some decisions for school and yes, I'm still going further. I'm still a psychology student at the University. But I needed to change my plans. With help from the university, I decided to do my second year in two years. This will give me more time and I'm able to take some time off. From december 2016 to April 2017 I'm taking a break from school. My due date is in the beginning of january and taking a break will give me time, to enjoy our little miracle and getting use to be a mom.

Another thing why my blog wasn't really updated, is that I needed to get used of my changing body. Suddenly, I didn't like fashion anymore. I still like fashion, but what I really mean is that I didn't like fashion for myself, with my changing and growing body. It was something that I needed to get used too. Because of this, I didn't post any outfit photos. It wasn't fun for me anymore.

I'm still feeling this way. I still like fashion, but I think I have to wait after giving birth, before I will get that feeling back again.

The last couple of months gave me time to think what I should do with my blog. Quitting was something that came across my mind. But my instagram is still growing and some other social media's too. I still not figured out what to do with my blog. I know that things have to change and that I don't want to be just another fashion blog.

The name of the blog is :LifeandStyleDiary and the last years I was more focussed on fashion that on lifestyle. But I have this desire to do something with lifestyle. I want to do more with lifestyle, but I still haven't figured out how I should do that.

I'm not quitting my blog, but I have to figure out what the next step for my blog is. I hope time will tell.

Life and Blog Update

Four weeks ago I married the greatest men that I met in my life and now I can call him my husband. It was a wonderful day. Everything was perfect. Celebrating our wedding with family and friends. My (step)mom married us. It was always my dream that she did that and that dream came true.

The day was so relax. We had a tear and a laugh. Looking back at that day, it still feels like a dream. But a really good dream. There is nothing that I want to change. It was perfect for us. Our day, our dream, our love!

We married in a small and one of the oldest churches in our area and we celebrated our wedding at the beachclub in our town.

More pictures soon!

I'm Married!

I'm sorry, but I'm a little late with the 18 week pregnancy update. I had a busy week.

How far along? 18+4 weeks!
Total weight gain: 4 kilo. I'm right now on 65,5 kilo, started at 61,5
Maternity clothes? Only maternity jeans. Tops still fit me.
Stretch marks? No!
Best moment this week: Having my energy back. Right now I'm back on the energy that I had this pregnancy. Because of the more energy, I was more active than the weeks before.
Miss anything? Shopping for clothes. I tried it last week, but I wasn't feeling comfortable enough.
Movement: Yes, when Erik and I watched a movie and I was lying in his arm, I felt a small kick. The first time that I felt the baby was around 13 weeks and I feel small movements since 16 weeks.
Food cravings: My cheese craving got less. I craved more healthier food this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No.
Gender: We will find out in 1,5 weeks.
Labor signs: No.
Symptoms: Sometimes I was dizzy.
Belly button in or out? In!
Wedding/Engagement rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy :)
Looking forward to: To find out what the gender is! Erik and I are really curious right now. We'll have to wait 1,5 week.

Instagram Lately #3

Well, let me just drop the big news right away: I'M PREGNANT! Currently I'm 17 weeks and my due date is 2 january 2016. We are going to have a winter child.

I'm so happy and feeling blessed with this little miracle growing inside me. I never suspected that I will get pregnant that soon. I stopped with birth control after our trip to Florida in march this year and I got pregnant after that.

When I was holding the positive pregnancy test I was overwhelmed with joy, but also fear. It got pregnant so fast. I wasn't prepared for it. I mean, I wanted to become a mommy. I wanted to have a child with my soulmate Erik. But I thought it would take at least 6 to 12 months before getting pregnant. I never suspected that I would get pregnant, right after quitting with birth control.

But the fear remained. I worried if everything was going alright with the baby. I stopped worrying after our first ultra sound. At that time I was 8 weeks and seeing that heartbeat, made everything alright. I lost my fear and I could finally enjoy my pregnancy.

Well, not totally enjoying it. Hello morning sickness. Or you can better call it: all day sickness. I was sick for weeks. I could only lay on the couch or in bed. After passing the 12 weeks mark, I finally was feeling better. The nausea dissapeared and I got more energy day by day.

Here is our little miracle at 12 weeks and 4 days. And at that point I heard the heartbeat for the first time. It was so emotional and joyful at the same time. I cried.

Right now I'm feeling so much better and I already felt the baby three times. We call him/her 'plop', because the first time I felt it, it was like a bubble was plopping against the inside of my belly. It were two small plops.

I thinking about doing weekly pregnancy vlogs from now on. I will first cover the first 3 months of being pregnant and then I will update weekly about my pregnancy.

Oh and I'm engaged. Erik popped the question on 20th of may. We're getting married on september 2th this year. I'm so excited! 2016 is a great year for us.

Well, it was a week with a lot of things to do and I wasn't feeling well. But I'm finally feeling better now. But the weather is against me. It's cold, there is fog or it is raining. Not the best weather for taking outfit photos. So, I'll have to wait. Now I understand why so many bloggers are going to a better climates area this time of year. Maybe I should do that too. I wish I was in a better climate right now. A warm one. Yes Please!

But instead I will drink a cup of tea or a whole teapot and will wait for better days. Maybe I need to shoot more pictures often. Or more in one day. I still need to find a way to keep my blog updated more times a week. I need to make some changes and do better planning. Only this way my blog will be updated regularly.

Valentine's Day is coming to us and I found these perfect items for a perfect outfit for a Valentine's Date.

A long, long , long time ago I wore black all the time . But that is changing lately. I'm adding more colours to my wardrobe and more colours to my outfits. But from time to time, I love to wear black. But I couldn't resist to add a popping colour, like this bright pink blouse. I love to play with this. And I find out that I have a thing for blouses. I have so many different kinds of blouses in my closet. And all in different colours and patterns. I need to show them more on the blog, I think.

I know, I didn't blog that much in 2015. But I still want to show you some of the outfits from 2015. I had some great ones. And in the beginning of 2015 I bought a 50mm f1.8 lens. Since that we are making better outfit photos. And with we, I mean my boyfriend and me. A big thanks to him. He is making my photos and learned so much last year. And we are still learning.

And of course our trip to Curacao is one to remember. It was the second time I was there and I am so in love with the island. Gorgeous beaches, lovely people and great food. I have a gluten allergy and I can almost eat at every food location. They can learn something from that here in the Netherlands.

2015 was a great year. I made big steps with my health and I got better. I started with psychology at the university. One of my big dreams. I can't wait to see what 2016 is bringing me and us.
